Friendship Lunch

First Sunday of every month at Stratford Methodist Church.

Dr Janet Colette who was a young scientist at Wellesbourne Research Station,  and an enthusiastic motor bike rider, before being called to the Ministry, started Friendship Lunches in 1991.

She wanted to share Sunday Lunch with friends rather than having a solitary meal in her own home. These first meals were very much influenced by her international work/travels in the Philippines, India and Africa with the result that interesting aromas circulated around the building. However, gradually as numbers grew we started serving roast dinners which proved to be very popular.
Since those early days we now serve an alternative vegetarian, gluten free, diabetic and any other special dietary requirement meal ( with advanced notice )  after Sunday Morning Worship giving our friends from other churches time to arrive. This gives those who have attended church in Stratford time to partake of refreshments, circulate and chat to each other.

Rev.Colette has since served in Honduras and in London.

Pre-booking is essential, just add your name to the list on the Church Noticeboard in Wesleys Hall together with any special dietary requirement. If you cannot get into Church to book please email soamcwebsite@gmail.com

We offer two courses with a vegetarian, gluten-free and diabetic choice, if you inform us well in advance.

Lunch commences at approximately 12:00 noon following coffee after Sunday Morning Worship Service.
